I am a post-doc researcher at the University of Padua. I hold a Ph.D. from the University of Genoa, spent a year as a visiting scholar at Columbia University, and worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of L'Aquila.

I have published papers on the metaphysics of persistence and personal identity and authored a book, "Piccola Guida Filosofica all'Identità Personale" (Laterza, 2023). I am editing the new Italian edition of Derek Parfit's "Reasons and Persons" (Il Saggiatore, 2025), and currently working on personal identity and the virtual world, and on a formal definition of counterpart relation.

In between academic research, I obtained a permanent teaching position in the Italian high school system, since it seems I cannot do any other work outside reading, teaching, and writing. Nonetheless, since I am an optimist, I've tried construction, farming, and fathering.
